Find Out How Hair Loss Can Be Corrected

There is no longer any need to put up with unwanted hair loss. Bangkok Hair Clinic can correct most types of hair loss.

Many types of hair loss can be corrected surgically.

Hair loss is something that many people, both men and women, dread as they age. For younger men, early-age baldness can make them look older and cause self-esteem issues. For women, this loss can also cause self-confidence and image problems.

There isn’t just one cause of hair loss. We’ll discuss the five most common reasons for losing your hair so you can get an idea of the widespread, common problem that you may share with almost 80% of the population if you’re a man, and almost half the population of women.

We’ll also discuss the latest remedies for this condition and what they entail. In Thailand, Bangkok Hair Clinic specializes in hair restoration by designing a treatment that matches your facial structure and existing hairline to produce a thick and natural head of hair that everyone will admire. But before we get to the remedies, let’s look at the most common types of hair loss.

Androgenetic Alopecia

Androgenetic Alopecia is the most common condition causing adult baldness and hair loss. It’s also commonly referred to as male-pattern or female-pattern baldness. The condition is hereditary but can be dealt with and corrected by surgery or medication.

In males, hair loss can begin soon after puberty and progress throughout a man’s life. It typically starts with the hairline receding at the temples and the development of a bald spot at the top of the head, which slowly grows as the person ages. In females, the hairline doesn’t usually recede. The hair usually thins all over the scalp and rarely leads to complete baldness.

Telogen Effluvium

Hair growth occurs in cycles of rest and growth. Typically, when some hair follicles are resting, other follicles are growing. Telogen Effluvium happens when large numbers of hair follicles enter the resting phase of the cycle, called telogen, but other follicles don’t begin their growth cycle. This results in hair falling out all over the scalp. It doesn’t usually cause complete baldness, but hair can appear alarmingly thin.

A medical event like surgery, childbirth, a thyroid imbalance or fever can trigger the condition. The condition can also be caused by a vitamin or mineral deficiency. Medications are most often used to help the hair start growing again.

Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks healthy tissues, including hair follicles. It causes existing hair to fall out and prevents new hair from growing. The condition can affect adults as well as children.

The condition can begin without warning, and while it’s not painful, it can be emotionally damaging. Unfortunately, the condition can lead to alopecia totalis, or total baldness over time. Doctors can treat the condition with medication that may help hair regrow.

Anagen Effluvium

Anagen Effluvium is rapid hair loss from medical treatment and is usually associated with chemotherapy. In killing the cancer cells, the medications also shut down hair follicle growth and reproduction on the scalp. After the therapy ends, the hair usually grows back on its own, but doctors can offer medication to help it grow back quicker.

Tinea Capitis

Tinea Capitis is also referred to as scalp ringworm. It’s a fungal infection of the scalp that causes hair loss in children. The condition causes hair to fall out in patches, and it can appear as red, scaly areas on the scalp. Doctors usually prescribe an oral antifungal medication that can eliminate the fungus. The key to complete recovery is early diagnosis and treatment.

Hair Shaft Abnormalities

Hair shaft abnormalities don’t affect the follicles but cause the hair shaft to break along its length. These conditions can lead to overall thinning of the hair. Some abnormalities are treated by changing the way you treat and style your hair, but others require medical treatment. Your doctor can tell you which path you should follow if a hair shaft abnormality causes your hair loss.
